- For those needing resources, Grace Baptist, at 2499 Waldron Rd., Kankakee, has a power-charging station provided by ComEd. Snacks, water, buckets for cleanup, bags, gloves and more are also at Grace Baptist that were donated by Home Depot, Lowes and Our Home.
- For other businesses wishing to similarly donate, please contact the Kankakee County Emergency Management Agency (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) so your donations can be vetted and regulated.
- ShineFM, at 450 S. Main St., Bourbonnais, is accepting donations from private citizens for the community-at-large.
- If your pet was displaced by the storm damage, these kennels are open for boarding. Please call them for availability and pricing.

- Kankakee County and Kankakee City officials are cautioning area residents to be skeptical when approached by unsolicited contractors requesting to repair damage caused by the storms. If you see a contractor and feel a bit uneasy or concerned, contact the appropriate authorities to verify the validity of the contractor and to ensure they’re licensed to work in the area.
